 ふゆやすみはうちにかえりました。ともだちといっしょにくるまでうちにかえりましたから、いいです。2時間ぐらうにかかりました。それから、うちではクリスマスのパーティーをしました。私のかぞくといっしょにたくさん食べものをつくりましました。パンとチズたくさんがありましましたから、とてもおおしかった。だらから、私はたくさん食べものを食べました。それから、かずくといっしょにたくさんえいがを見ました。「Weapons」とういえいがです。おもしろいえいがですが、ちょっと。。。まま。　

  ふゆの休みはしゅしいんにかえります。それから、Finalのテストーがたくさんありますから、とてもいそがしです。でも、毎年かぞくのうちでクリスマスのバーティーがありますから、私はとてもげんきです。クリスマスは二十月二四日です。それから、かぞくいっしょにおおしいたベものたくさんをつくります。毎日、私はいいたべものをたべます。私もペットとあそびます。毎日、とてもたのしいですよ！o(^_^) For my Japanese learning, I feel I have come a long way. I have always had interest in Japanese dramas and movies with English subtitles, however being able to actually comprehend even partly what the characters actually saying has increased my engagement and understanding. It has been very fun throughout the semester to binge Japanese films and to learn more about kanji. My favorite thing was learning about the kanji for fireworks or 花火 being a combination of the kanji for flower 花 and the kanji for volcano 火. It feels almost too perfect. I hope to learn more kanji in the future and increase my understanding on the language.

      Over Thanksgiving Break I watched to episode 20 of Neon Genesis Evangelion for listening practice. This anime was recommended to me by a friend and I thought it was entertaining but also melancholic.       To summarize, the show follows the story of Shinji Ikari, a young boy who in a desperate effort to reconnect with his absent father was to pilot a death machine. The death machine is called Eva. Shinji is one of three young and quirky pilots. Most of the episodes feature an battle of the day style, with each monster being angels who decided it would be really funny to destroy people's homes. Not only focused on action, Evangelion follows the mystery of the Evas, Shinji's titular deadbeat father, and kids who should have definitely just stayed in school. It is very fun! Most interesting, biblical references and sci-fi lingo are dropped constantly, which makes the show more compelling.  The best character in my opinion is this penguin, which...

  やすみのサンクスギビングデー、うちにかえりました。たのしかったですが、いそがしかったです。1月1月27日に私のかぞくは私のうちにいきました。それから、たくさんてべものサンクスギビンをりょうりしましたグから、たくさんたべものをたべました。ターキーやさかなをつくりました。サンクスギビングデーのあと、ともだちといっしょにえいがかんをいきました。「Wicked」というえいがをみました。さんじかんぐらいかかりました。よかったですから、私のおすすめ。 (とてもターキーはおおしいでしょ！)

  しゅうまつ、えいがをみました。このえいがはにほんのえいが。えいがのなまえはいやしのおとなりさんにはひみつがある。かわいくなかったが、こわかった。すきじゃない。 It is about a salary woman and her “ikemen”* neighbor who she vents to about work and finds his presence relaxing except he has a secret. It is that he’s obsessed with her. It’s more like a horror than a romance. The main character is funny but the love interest she ends up with is horrifying. Most of all, worst of all, the guy of whom I wanted to end up with her ends up with another character and she ends up with creepy love interest who was stalking her for 50% of the series. Granted he learned that what he was doing was bad and had “good” intentions, but his actions were too creepy to look past for me and even when he develops to be a good person in the end, I still hated it. It did not help that I did not think they had much romantic chemistry in the first place. Anyways it was, alright. Some funny moments, some cute moments beyond the romance, and half of it was entertaining.  *Ikemen is a h...
